Nancy is a Senior Instructor who has been teaching Shockproof courses for more than 6 years. She brings 25 years of commercial credit experience from both a national and a regional commercial bank, combined with a passion for training, to provide meaningful context for class participants.
After graduating from an 18-month US Bank Commercial Loan Training program, Nancy began her career as a commercial loan officer. Her 10-year tenure at U.S. Bank included roles in regional management and commercial credit team leadership.
Nancy continued her commercial banking career at Sterling Bank (later acquired by Umpqua), starting as a VP in Private Banking and eventually serving as EVP Chief Portfolio Manager. She was a member of the executive management team and chaired several committees, including the Executive Credit Committee, Special Assets Committee, and ALLL.
Her responsibilities included oversight of Construction and Commercial Real Estate credit administration, Special Assets, REO, and the Investment Department. Nancy also led credit-side merger and acquisition due diligence and facilitated training in commercial credit, CRE, construction administration, and loan workouts.
Finding training highly rewarding, Nancy transitioned to a career as an independent trainer and consultant, specializing in commercial credit projects, loan review, and due diligence. In her training classes, she shares her experiences as a relationship manager, credit administrator, loan review manager, and Chief Credit Officer to enhance the practical application of concepts.
Nancy is an alumna of the University of San Diego, where she majored in business and minored in accounting.
