Meet Tom Halupnik

Senior Instructor
Tom is a Shockproof Senior Instructor who has been teaching our courses for more than 11 years. He couples real world banking experience with excellent facilitation skills to create learning events that engage and stimulate participants. He has served the clients of three merging regional banks as an urban middle market loan officer, an retail branch manager, and in a leadership role as a regional manager. His exposure to a diversified marketplace challenged and in turn developed Tom’s skills and value as a banking resource.

Tom also brings the additional perspective drawn from his service in several increasingly responsible roles in the captive finance / indirect commercial lending environment. He has now capped his financial services career by choosing to share his well-earned insights with a new generation of lenders.  Two regional banks have benefitted from his work as a dynamic facilitator and visionary learning manager.  At the heart of his success in this role is the close alignment to desired lending competencies and strategic lending objectives of line-of-business leaders he upheld.
Tom's worth is evidenced by his success in multiple lending roles ranging from commercial loan and lease origination, credit underwriting, collections to consumer loan origination . He now brings the competence anchored in his diversified experience and knowledge to bear in the training environment.  His success has been driven by a commitment to building mutually beneficial relationships with banking clients and now with training participants.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa. He has consciously built and applied his lending expertise as a loan practitioner, his training abilities as an instructor and board member at the
